The Humane Society and Shelter — SouthCoast is hosting its 19th “Give Me Shelter” gala to celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Humane Society and Shelter — SouthCoast serves as a holding facility for abandoned and stray animals and a shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them.
Tickets cost $95 in advance or $115 at the door.
To buy a ticket in advance, go to the Humane Society and Shelter — SouthCoast website.
The event will be taking place at 31 Ventura Drive in North Dartmouth.
There will be a silent auction from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Items for auction come from local businesses and individuals who believe in supporting the organization’s cause. With many donated items valued at $100 or more, the silent auction is a large part of the gala’s success.
At the gala will also be music with Jackson Neves, cocktails by Freitas Liquors and catering by On the Go.
To become a sponsor or make a donation to the auction, call 508-995-6661 or email Mel Ventura at Mventura6089@comcast.net by Oct. 15.
Those who donate to the auction will have their name and a description of the item they donated in the event program.
