The Burgo Basketball Association in Dartmouth is closing their courts at 6 p.m. every night until further notice due to recent reckless driving that damaged the area.

Two vehicles were spotted driving dangerously on the courts, carving one-foot deep marks into the asphalt by doing “donuts.”

At least one individual at the scene appeared to be smoking marijuana.

The space was meant to be “the foundation of a new building” and the Burgo Basketball Association says this incident increased the workload needed to start construction.

The incident has been reported to the Dartmouth Police Department and an investigation is underway
