A 20-year-old New Bedford woman died early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Dartmouth, according to state police.

Police said troopers from the Dartmouth barracks responded to the crash on I-195 westbound near the Faunce Corner Road exit at 2 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency crews identified the victim as Cali McMullen, who was pronounced dead at the scene after she was ejected from her car in the crash.

A preliminary investigation found that McMullen lost control of her car, which struck the guardrail and stopped in the highway median.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
