Knock it out of the park.

The Dartmouth Youth Activities Association's 2016 Steele Tournament starts this weekend at 225 Russells Mills Road. The baseball league's Junior (ages 10 and under) and Pony (13 years old) divisions will be playing August 5-7. Little (ages 12 and under) and Senior (ages 15 and older) divisions will be playing August 12-14. Saturday, August 6

Wet a line.

The Dartmouth chapter of the Knights of Columbus is hosting the "Get Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs" annual event for children ages 6-16. Participants—accompanied by a responsible adult—will meet at Mello's Pond, one mile west of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Old Westport Road, for 7-10 a.m. Bait will be provided.

Tour local studios.

Thirty-four Southcoast artists will open their studios in Dartmouth and Westport for a public tour on August 6-7, 10-5 p.m. As part of the ART Drive, studios will also offer presentations such as a demo on taking iPhone photos, an insight into metal artwork, and a discussion on glass fusing.
