The nonprofit organization Theresa Street will host a 5K fundraiser at Dartmouth High on April 30 beginning at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the school district’s unified sports program, which brings together athletes with intellectual (and sometimes physical) disabilities and their partners, regular education peers who act as guides and help promote inclusion and acceptance within the school community.

The inaugural 5k will begin at 9 a.m. with a “unified lap” and the race will kickoff at around 9:15. While a competitive event, participants are encouraged to go at their own pace.

There will also be a farmer’s market near the finish line that will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost for the 5k is $35 and includes a t-shirt. To register, visit www.lightbox.com/theresastreet5k.

The nonprofit is also seeking sponsors for the event. To learn more about sponsorships, email andrew.burdick@theresastreet.org.
