Arthur Ferreira, 72, of Dartmouth passed away August 28, 2019 at the Oaks in New Bedford.

He was the husband of Pauline (Adriana) Ferreira of Dartmouth and son of the late Arthur and Stefania (Marusa) Ferreira.

He was born in Acushnet and had lived in this area all of his life.

Arthur was employed as a machine operator for Acushnet Co. until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; his son Robert Ferreira and his wife Dana of Dartmouth; his sister Linda Hebert and her husband Robert of New Bedford; his granddaughter Taylor Murphy; his great granddaughter August Knox; his niece and nephews Laurie Fuller, Robert Hebert Jr. and Darren Hebert.

He was the brother of the late Steven Ferreira. 

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, September 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkinson’s Research at Parkinson’s Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
