Attend the royal ball with Bishop Stang’s Cinderella the Musical

The Bishop Stang Theatre Company is staging a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.

The show opens on Thursday, April 27 and will have two more performances on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. All performances are at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students, children and seniors. The show is open to children of all ages. 

This original version aired on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews and later in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren. The music from this production includes "Ten Minutes Ago," "Impossible," and "In My Own Little Corner.

There is also a special event called "Bibbidi Bobbidi Bishop Stang” on Saturday, April 29 from 12 to 2 p.m.

Inspired by Disneyland’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, children can go to the Bishop Stang gym and can experience being a prince or princess for a day.

Starting at noon, children can see a preview of the show, take pictures with Cinderella, Prince Charming and the cast, get their hair and nails done, fence with foam swords and play horseshoes with Prince Charming.

Children can come dressed up as their favorite prince or princess. Sweet treats will be provided. This event is for children ages 3-12. Tickets are $10 per child and parents enter for free.

Cinderella and "Bibbidi Bobbidi Bishop Stang" take place in the John C. O'Brien gymnasium at Bishop Stang High School, 500 Slocum Rd., North Dartmouth.
