Bike summit set for March 24

The 6th Annual Bike Summit will be held on March 24 at White's of Westport on March 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
All bike enthusiasts, including tri-town bike path supporters, are invited to the event, which will also be a kickoff for the third South Coast Summer Bike Challenge that encourages participants to record their miles from May 1 to Labor Day. Registration will be available for the challenge at the summit.
Erin Reed of the Massachusetts Safe Routes to School Program, which promotes healthy alternatives for children and parents in their travel to and from school, will be the summit's keynote speaker. There will also be two panel discussions focused on organizing group rides.
This is a free event. The welcoming reception begins at 5:30 p.m. The speakers begin at 6 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m., followed by a social hour in White's Priscilla Room. White's is located at 66 State Road, Westport.
