Join Mass Audubon and Round the Bend Farm for a Bobolink Breakfast on Sunday, June 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. at their location on 92 Allen Neck Road in South Dartmouth.

Explore restored grassland on a guided hike to look for bobolink — small New World blackbirds named after Bob O’Lincoln, a loose translation of their call.

Also called “rice birds” due to a habit of feeding on cultivated grains, male bobolinks have a distinctive black and white coloring.

Participants will watch for these and other creatures while enjoying a locally-sourced country breakfast and learning about bird and butterfly conservation practices.

The event costs $42 for Mass Audubon members and $50 for non-members.

Register online at massaudubon.org.
