The Dartmouth Tree Committee is inviting the public to Talk Trees at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at Southworth Library, 732 Dartmouth St.

Presenters will discuss several ongoing initiatives: A townwide “Trees are Cool’’ planting program; the Dartmouth Distinctive Trees project, which allows residents to sing the praises of favorite trees; and a citizens’ science project to inventory Dartmouth’s street trees.

Principal Liz Correia will report on an Arbor Day celebration at DeMello School and information will be provided on trees that are especially good at sheltering and feeding wildlife.
