Carol Ann (LaVigne) McGill, 94, of Dartmouth passed away Friday June 27, 2025 at Vantage of New Bedford.  She was the wife of Thomas H. McGill.

 

Born in Worcester, Carol was a graduate of Emmanuel College, where her received her Bachelor of Arts degree, and Boston College, where she received her Master of Arts degree.  She taught English at Dartmouth High School for 17 years and later was Director of Development at Bishop Connolly High School in Fall River and assistant to the Director of Education for the Diocese of Fall River until her retirement.

 

She is survived by her husband Tom, her son Brian, and her granddaughter Samantha.

 

A private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, South Dartmouth at a later date. Arrangements were by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  Remembrances may be made to Community Nurse, 62 Center St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
