Charles H. Macomber, Sr. 87, of Dartmouth, passed away at home on Oct. 24, 2021 after a brief illness. 

Charlie as he was known to his friends and family was born on Nov. 30, 1933, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Charlie was preceded in death by his brother Edward Macomber, his sister Rachel Mara, and his daughter Wendy Macomber. 

Charlie graduated from Dartmouth High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. Charlie served in the United States Army which instilled a strong work ethic that he carried forward in all that he did. He enjoyed his friends and family, working on his tractors and visiting with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Lois Feenan Macomber, and his sons Charlie H. Macomber, Jr. of Dartmouth and his son Russell Macomber and wife Cynthia Macomber and three grandchildren, Tyler, Grace and Sophie Macomber of Williamsburg, VA.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dartmouth Grange.
