On Saturday September 23 and Saturday September 30 the Community Nurse Home Care will be holding volunteer training for hospice care volunteers.

Hospice care volunteers use a special kind of care designed to help support the patients and their families while they cope with a terminal illness. There two types of hospice care volunteers indirect volunteers who provide office help/do fundraising and direct volunteers who provide one on one care for the patients.

This training session will teach hospice volunteers about both aspects of being a volunteer.

Anyone interested in being a hospice volunteer is welcome to attend. Community Home Care is especially looking for Portuguese speaking volunteers and volunteers willing to visit in the Fall River area.

The event will be held at Community Nurse Home Care's Dartmouth office at 41 State Rd. in Dartmouth.
