Couple scoffs at winter storm, builds giant snowman
While the snowstorm earlier this week may be grounds for giving some the winter blues, a Dartmouth couple seized the opportunity to assemble a towering snowman.
Zachery Cabral said he and his girlfriend, Kimberly Doe, made “the best out of a messy, snowy situation” by spending about two hours on Feb. 10 creating the icy giant.
The two estimate their snowman is 7 feet tall and likely weighs several hundred pounds.
Cabral and Doe completed the look by using bottle caps and corks to form a smiley face and buttons. They adorned their creation with a fedora and scarf.
“I took great pride in the snowman especially when I notice passing drivers seeing it, and I even had a few stop to take pictures. It seemed silly at first but it made my day and hopefully others,” said Cabral.
