A memorial craft fair will be held on October 28 in honor of fallen firefighter Ryan Ferreira at the Dartmouth Middle School gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fair will include face painting, tattoos, a raffle, and more than 50 vendors who will be on site selling and showcasing their products and services.

Ferreira, a third-generation firefighter, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital on April 25, 2016 after suffering a medical emergency while off-duty. He was 31 years old.

The Dartmouth resident served as a full-time firefighter in Walpole, and worked part-time as a volunteer firefighter at Dartmouth Fire District No. 1.

Proceeds from the event will benefit a memorial fund set up in Ferreira’s honor by the Walpole Fire Department. The fund will help support the family Ferreira left behind, which includes his daughter Bella, who was three years old when he passed away.
