Dartmouth band rocks the stage at Holiday Concert

Dec 20, 2019

Dartmouth student musicians rocked the high school auditorium with festive tunes at the annual high school and eighth grade Holiday Concert.

The December 19 concert saw a variety of bands take the stage to perform a variety of holiday music.

The high school stage band, percussion ensemble, eighth grade band, and high school concert band all performed a variety of songs, from "Big Band Christmas," featuring a mash-up of holiday favorites, to an international sampling of Russian Christmas music.

It was the final holiday concert of the season, which saw performances from the elementary schools and Dartmouth Middle School over the past week.

It will also be the last Holiday Concert for outgoing Band Director Bill Kingsland, who plans to retire from the post he’s held for nearly three decades.

As a tribute to Kingsland’s legacy, a group of band alumni presented Kingsland with a framed photograph alum Tyler Gregoire took of Kingsland at his final Home Show.
