The Dartmouth Cultural Center will host an open house on Friday, April 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. for the opening night of its new exhibit, Whistler's Mother by Michael Walden.

Walden is a painter whose work has been shown across the country and around the world.

He holds Master’s of Fine Arts degrees from Boston University and Massachusetts College of Arts and has completed artist residencies at Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Vermont Studio Center, and on Cuttyhunk Island.
