The annual celebration of Dartmouth’s heritage will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at the village schoolhouse headquarters of Dartmouth Historical & Arts Society, 1205 Russells Mills Road.

This year the event also celebrates the 150th anniversary of the historic structure.

Activities and exhibits will include King Philip’s War reenactors; Colonial Fur Trappers Camp; John Belcher, a local gunsmith showing handcrafted firearms from 1750-1840; Tea to Sea, 17th century cooking; a presentation of the art of spinning on an old-fashioned hand-operated spinning wheel by “Spinners with Soule” (from the Soule Homestead); and the Coin Club of New Bedford teaching about coinage and paper money of the years 1871-1914, when the schoolhouse was operating.
