The Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust will hold tours of the historic Akin House on Sunday, Sept. 18 and Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors may tour the house and view displays of glass, pottery, ceramics, metals and nails, bone and shell, and other materials used by the Akin family over centuries collected during previous archaeological surveys.

They will also have the opportunity to learn a little history about the Akins and their significant role during the Revolution.

The Akin House is located at 762 Dartmouth St.

The event is free and open to the public.
