The junior varsity winter guard placed first in their division on Sunday, March 30.The Dartmouth High School color guard, indoor percussion and concert band groups have been busy recently, taking home several first place awards and preparing for future competitions.
On Sunday, March 30, both the Dartmouth Varsity Winter Guard and the JV Guard teams took first place in their divisions at the New England Scholastic Ban Association Championships.
The varsity color guard team concluded its season after placing 13th at the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. This was also their first finals appearance since 2019.
On Friday, April 4, the concert band won gold at the Massachusetts Instrumental Choral & Conductors Music Festival.
The indoor percussion became the New England Scholastic Band Association finals champions with a score of 96.95 out of 100 on Saturday, April 5.
The percussionists will be headed to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the WGI World Championships where they will compete against other groups from across the country.
