Dartmouth man arrested for razor knife attack

Police arrested a Dartmouth man on April 2 after a member of his household was slashed several times with a razor knife, according to a release from the Dartmouth Police Department.

After police responded to a domestic dispute at the home at around 8 p.m. Friday, officers found that one of the involved parties had been slashed several times with a razor knife.

According to the release, the worst wound was a laceration approximately 11 inches long and a quarter of an inch deep. 

Police said the victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital to have their non-life-threatening wounds treated.

After interviewing both the victim and other witnesses, officers arrested a 38-year-old Dartmouth man and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

In order to protect the identity of the victim, police are not releasing the names of anyone involved or the location of the incident.
