Police arrested a Fall River juvenile involved in a hit and run with a stolen vehicle on Matty Lane on Friday, Oct. 21, announced the Dartmouth Police Department.

The female minor was driving a Hyundai Elantra and crashed into another vehicle on State Road. The vehicle then followed the Elantra before it crashed into a tree on Matty Lane, authorities said. 

When police arrived at the scene, they then learned that the vehicle was stolen. The juvenile, who was also intoxicated, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, treated for her injuries, and released to her mother, according to the police department.

As a result of this incident, the juvenile was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of drugs, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
