Dartmouth resident among those who served on Boston Marathon bombing trial
Court documents state that a Dartmouth resident was one of the 12 jurors who served in the Boston Marathon bombing trial last year.
The Dartmouth resident, who could not be reached for comment, was one of five male jurors in the trial.
Judge George O’Toole Jr. released the names of the jurors in the Boston Marathon bombing on Feb. 12. In his brief document, he states that he had previously denied the Boston Globe from obtaining the list back in August on grounds that there were pending post-trial matters that needed to first be addressed.
“Those matters have now been concluded,” he wrote.
Tsarnaev, 22, was sentenced and convicted to death last year for his role in the Boston Marathon attack in 2013, which left three dead and hundreds injured. His case will head to the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, where his legal team will try to appeal the death penalty.
