Dartmouth runners complete Boston Marathon

Apr 18, 2022

Five Dartmouth runners completed today’s 126th Boston Marathon — the first in person Patriot’s Day race since 2019.

David Hawkins, 58, registered the best time among the town’s marathoners, with a finish of 03:27:03 — shaving off 12 minutes from his last run during the October marathon this past fall.

The runner-up was 41-year-old Julie Furtado, who clocked in at 04:01:15.

Alex Boswell, 27, crossed the finish line at 04:40:17, with 24-year-old Jennifer Wheaton finishing not long after at 04:53:45. Wheaton ran to support Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge.

All money raised by the team benefits Dana-Farber’s Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research, which supports promising science research in its earliest stages. For more information, visit Wheaton’s fundraiser on the Dana-Farber website

Meghan Rogers, 36, finished with a time of 05:04:06.

According to the Boston Athletic Association, 32-year-old Molly Rouillard did not start the race. She previously competed in the fall and clocked in at 3:23:27.
