Dartmouth student chosen as a National Youth Correspondent
Noah Veloso, a student at Dartmouth High School, has been selected to represent Dartmouth as a National Youth Correspondent to the 2025 Washington Journalism and Media Conference at George Mason University in Washington, D.C.
Veloso, who is an active member in the high school’s school newspaper, was chosen based on his academic accomplishments and for his demonstrated interest in journalism and media studies.
During the conference, which will be held from July 14 to July 19, Veloso and the other youth correspondents will participate in hands-on, experiential learning through decision-making simulations that will challenge them to solve problems and explore the creative, practical and ethical tensions in journalism and media.
Presenters will include prominent journalists, CEOs of major media outlets, researchers and recent college graduates who have successfully entered the field.
