Dartmouth teen to perform at Miss Massachusetts pageant
Dartmouth’s Alyssa Maitoza will perform at the 2017 Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen Pageant on April 9 at 4 p.m. at Keith Middle School in New Bedford.
Maitoza, who won last year’s competition and awards in the National Pageant in Orlando, will perform, along with the eight contestants vying for the Miss Massachusetts Outstanding Teen title. Girls will be judged on categories including a personal interview, talent, scholastic achievement, evening wear, onstage questions, and lifestyle and fitness.
The pageant is the official state preliminary for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen program, which promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living, and community involvement for America’s teens. It is open to girls ages 13-17.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for children 10 and under. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door; cash or check only. For more information, visit mmaoteen.org.
