Dartmouth Wanderers to celebrate accomplished seniors
The Dartmouth Wanderers want to celebrate seniors who have given their time to better society.
The "Yesterday's Children, Wisdom of our Elders" program will recognize residents that are 90 years of age or older who have contributed to society. This is the first celebration of its kind, and organizers hope to make it an annual event.
To qualify, persons born in 1927 or earlier must submit a list of their contributions, accomplishments, and/or service to the country or community, along with the candidate's name, address, telephone number, and email.
Town members can also nominate qualifying 90 year olds and send an application on their behalf. The same information is required, along with the email of the person submitting the application.
A maximum of 10 honorees will be chosen and honored at an event in Spring 2017.
The application deadline is March 28, 2017. Applications can be mailed to Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly, P.O. Box 87113, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
The program is sponsored by the Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly.
