Dartmouth YMCA to host farm to table dinner
The Dartmouth YMCA will be hosting their annual Farm to Table dinner on Saturday, July 23, with all proceeds going to benefit the YMCA Annual Scholarship Campaign and Sharing the Harvest Community Farm.
Set beneath the stars, this elegant event overlooks the fields of the YMCA’s community farm, which donated more than 90,000lbs of fresh food to the southcoast community in 2015. This year’s event will, for the first time, feature a lobster bake, with chicken as an alternative entrée. Musical entertainment will be provided by Putnam Murdock.
In addition to live music and a meal prepared by the Black Bass Grille, there will be a host of great auction items including a boat slip in the Padanaram harbor donated by Davis Tripp Marina, a 2-night hotel stay at the Avalon Inn on Cuttyhunk, and a half day charter from MACATAC Sportfishing.
Beverages and glassware will be provided by the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company and Westport Rivers Winery. Farm to Table is generously supported by Cove Pediatrics, Salvador’s Ice Cream, Cape Quality Seafood and WJFD 97.3FM.
Tickets are $85 per person. A bottomless, commemorative glass can be purchased for $15 until July 16, or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling the YMCA at 508.993.3361 or visiting the branch at 276 Gulf Rd. Space is limited to 200 attendees and sold out last year.
