Former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is this year’s host of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s annual Center for Marketing Research Celebrity Scholarship Dinner on April 26.

The dinner kicks off at 6 p.m. at Venus De Milo in Swansea. Tickets are $150 per person, or $1,450 for a table of 10. The admission price includes a full course meal, raffles, and a silent auction.

The annual dinner raises funds for the center’s scholarship program, which has to date distributed more than $150,000 to undergraduate and graduate business students, according to the center’s website.
