Deadline for presidential primary voting registration

Voters that would like to vote in the March 1 presidential primary must be registered to vote by Feb. 10. This deadline also includes anyone wishing to change their voting party or status.

The Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 10. You can register or change your party by mail, online or in person in the Town Clerk’s Office. Check your voting status here.

Absentee ballots are also available for registered voters who meet the following requirements:

  • Absence from the voter’s Town during normal polling hours.
  • Physical disability preventing you from going to the polling place.
  • Religious belief

Or a non-registered voter who is:

  • A Massachusetts citizen absent from the state.
  • An active member of the armed forces or merchant marines, their spouse or dependent.
  • A person confined in a correctional facility or a jail, except if by reason of felony conviction.

Absentee ballot applications can be found online or you may send a note to the Town Clerk’s Office at 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747 with your name, address, where the ballot is to be mailed and your signature along with a contact number or email.
