Dennis Jason passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in his final days after a long health struggle on September 10th, 2025.  He was a lifelong islander, a fisherman, brother, uncle, friend, Coast Guard serviceman, boat builder, harbormaster, model-maker—and above all, a loving father and grandfather. He grew up in Dartmouth, MA, but spent summers in Menemsha before his father, Leonard Jason, Sr., and mother, Hilda Moura Jason, permanently relocated the family to a quiet piece of land on Chilmark’s North Road. A place where he remained until his final days. www.online-tribute.com/DennisJason.
