Doris L. (LeBlanc) Nicholas, 96, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 4, 2023 surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Alexander S. Nicholas.

Mrs. Nicholas was born in  New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Merilda (Belanger) LeBlanc and had resided in Dartmouth since 1967. Prior to retirement, she worked as an administrative assistant at UMass Dartmouth. She was an avid sports fan and tennis player. She enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Parish, Dartmouth. Mrs. Nicholas had a positive outlook and was always able to see the good in everything. Her granddaughters were the loves of her life.

Survivors include her son: Gregory S. Nicholas and his fiancée Galina Lozinski of Westport; 2 grandchildren: Amanda J. Nicholas and Morgan M. Tat and her wife Trinh; step-granddaughter: Victoria Nord; and her former daughter-in-law: Sandra J. Nicholas.

She was the grandmother of the late Ethan A. Nicholas and sister of the late Paul Leblanc.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Lucy Lanagan for the wonderful care she gave to Mrs. Nicholas.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, February 9, 2023 at St. Julie Billiart parish, Dartmouth at 11:00 A.M.

Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Julie Billiart Parish, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02747.
