Ecuadorian man apprehended after alleged sex crimes against minor
An Ecuadorian man at the Bristol County House of Corrections has been taken into custody by Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston July 27 for several charges of alleged sex crimes against a Massachusetts minor, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Massachusetts State Police apprehended 29-year-old Bryam Saraguro Ramon July 23 and charged him with two counts of aggravated rape of a child with more than a 10-year age difference, indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older and two counts of distributing obscene material to a minor, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The next day, the Fall River District Court arraigned Saraguro on those charges.
“Saraguro is charged with some serious and disturbing crimes against a minor in our Massachusetts community,” said ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons. “We will not allow noncitizen sexual predators to victimize the children of our neighborhoods unabated.”
He was apprehended after “unlawfully” entering the country in Texas back in May 2017, according to U.S. Immigration.
After entering the country, Saraguro was served notice by border patrol officials to appear before a judge and transfer to the custody of Enforcement and Removal Operations, and he bonded out in June 2017.
However, he was placed back into their custody from the Bristol County House of Correction in North Dartmouth on July 27 following the named charges, according to U.S. Immigration.
