An elderly cyclist was injured after she was struck by a car on Slocum Road.

According to Dartmouth police, officers responded to a report of a crash on Slocum Road in the area of Lexington Avenue on November 11 at 9:55 a.m. An elderly woman on a bicycle was struck by a car driven by 18-year-old Kailee Ferreira, according to police. 

The elderly woman was transported by ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
