A 36-year-old Freetown woman was killed early Saturday Aug. 23 in a one-car accident on Route 195 eastbound in Dartmouth.

Crystal Mullen was trapped in the vehicle she was driving and had to be extricated, State Police said.  

The accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. near mile marker 21.The highway was re-opened to traffic at about 6 a.m.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, State Police said.

Dartmouth police and EMS also responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Bristol County State Police Detective Unit.
