Explore a vernal pool at Parsons Reserve on Saturday, April 8 at 10 a.m.

Staff from the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust and the Buzzards Bay Coalition will lead participants on a hike through the reserve to a large vernal pool, where participants will discover frogs, salamanders, and other inhabitants of this temporary spring pond.

Be prepared for moderate walking of about one mile, rain or shine. Participants should wear sturdy, waterproof hiking shoes or boots. As a bonus, the hike will wind past the reserve’s popular daffodil field, where thousands of daffodils bloom each spring.
