Final Master Plan workshop to be held Dec. 8

Nov 23, 2022

The Town of Dartmouth, in collaboration with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District, will host its final Master Plan workshop on Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

During the workshop, local officials will present recommendations and next steps for implementation of the plan which has been in development for the past three years.

The plan will serve as a guiding document to assess where the town is now, how it got here, and where to go from here. A new master plan is produced each decade. It is being produced by the Town of Dartmouth and the SRPEDD

Under state law, the town’s master plan must include nine components: goals and policies, land use, housing, economic development, natural and cultural resources, open space and recreation, services and facilities, circulation (transportation infrastructure), and an implementation section outlining specific policy changes and timelines. Dartmouth’s master plan will include a tenth component addressing climate change.
