Finding balance with the Council on Aging
Event has passed
The Dartmouth Council on Aging was recently awarded a grant from the MA Councils on Aging for a new program that the Dartmouth COA is calling Thrive Dartmouth.
Thrive Dartmouth events will promote healthy living and community by building meaningful connections with others, according to the council.
Events will be held monthly in the early evening or during seasonal Saturday mornings.
The program’s first event will be on Saturday, Oct. 19 during Round the Bend Farm’s Open Farm Day.
Nanci Winterhalter, a yoga therapist, will lead the event, which starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 11:30 a.m.
Attend the pop-up event to learn, move, have fun and be with a community. Participants should bring their own yoga mats.
Participants are invited to stay after the event to purchase farm-fresh food, shop around a market with seasonal vegetables and healthy sustainable meats, and go on a farm tour of Round the Bend Farm.
To preregister, call the Dartmouth COA at 508-999-4717.
The event will take place at the Round the Bend Farm, located at 92 Allens Neck Road.
