DARTMOUTH — Unlike the lively Fire District 2 elections, there were no contested races in the annual election for Dartmouth Fire District 1, which was held Monday, April 24 at the Engine House, 10 Bridge St.

One hundred forty registered voters cast ballots. The final results were: 

District clerk, three-year term, Edward V. Pimental Jr. 123 votes; 17 blanks, no write-ins.

District treasurer: John D. Foster, 129 votes; 11 blanks. no write-ins.

Prudential Committee: John P. Haran, 118 votes; 20 blanks, two write-ins (Joe Biden.)
