The Dartmouth Rotary Club recently held its 2026 Installation of Officers and annual Service Above Self Awards ceremony, celebrating student leaders who have made a lasting impact through service and dedication to their communities.

Five local students were honored with $1,000 scholarships in recognition of their exemplary leadership and commitment to service:

• Olivia Crane, Dartmouth High School
• Ella Friedman, Dartmouth High School
• Harrison Cabral, Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School
• Christian Cordeiro, Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School
• Ellie Peterson, Bishop Stang High School

The event featured remarks from Elizabeth Teves-Roda, representing U.S. Congressman William Keating, and State Representative Chris Markey, both of whom praised the students for their achievements and dedication to community involvement.

The Rotary Club also extended special thanks to Maria Connor and the Friends of the Elderly for their donation, which helped support the student awards and intergenerational programming.

As new officers were officially installed, the Dartmouth Rotary Club reaffirmed its mission to promote service, leadership, and fellowship throughout the community.
