Floriano A. Pimentel, 51

Floriano A. Pimentel, 51, of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020 in Vibra Hospital after a lengthy illness with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mariana (Miguel) Pimentel, to whom he shared 30 years of marriage.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of Floriano and Cecilia (Andrade) Pimentel of Florida. Floriano is a longtime resident of Dartmouth. He worked for many years in the construction industry and prior to his retirement he was employed as a foreman for Causeway Construction Company. 

Floriano loved his wife Mariana and his sons Jessy and Kyle. Most important to him were his two precious granddaughters, Averie and Addison. He loved to go cruising with Averie and Addison and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Mariana, his sons, Jessy Pimentel and his companion Chelsea Macedo of Dartmouth and Kyle Pimentel and his companion Ciera Norman of Dartmouth; his granddaughters, Averie and Addison Pimentel; a sister, Maria Bicho of New Bedford; a brother, Robert Pimentel of Florida and many nieces and nephews.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Road, Dartmouth. Relatives and friends are invited. 

Visitation prior from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth 230 Russells Mills Road. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Floriano’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
