Former Red Sox pitcher Brian Rose to host baseball clinic

Mar 1, 2017

Former Boston Red Sox pitcher and Dartmouth High School graduate Brian Rose, along with Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn’s office, will host a free youth baseball clinic in New Bedford on March 4.

The clinics will run from 10 a.m. to noon inside the gymnasium at the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, 1121 Ashley Boulevard. The clinic is open to both boys and girls of all ages, and information on local youth baseball leagues will be also available.

Saturday’s free baseball clinic is a collaboration between the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the New Bedford School Department and the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Rose served as a pitcher for the Red Sox. He now works in the Community Affairs Unit at the District Attorney’s Office as a Volunteer Coordinator and Free Youth Sports Clinic Director. He was named the new baseball coach at Bishop Stang High School last August.

For more information, contact Rose at (508) 961-1972 or by email at Brian.Rose@state.ma.us.
