Students from the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School Business Professionals of America chapter attended the 2023 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif., from April 26 to 30.

Four students from Dartmouth attended the conference with Greater New Bedford: Joshua Abreu as part of the human resources management and administrative support team; Zachary Lamb as part of the video production team; Ethan Medeiros, who specializes in fundamental spreadsheet applications, and Amarie Rodrigues, who specializes in advanced desktop publishing.

Lamb was part of the team that finished fourth in the video production category at the conference.

Medeiros finished seventh in a fundamental spreadsheet applications competition and earned his Microsoft Excel certification at the conference.

Approximately 6,500 delegates from across the country attended the conference to compete for top honors in business and information technology skills competitions, attend leadership and professional development workshops, receive awards for community service activities, and elect BPA's national student leadership team for 2023-2024. 

Participants were able to network with other BPA members and business leaders, visit well-known Southern California attractions, and participate in community service activities.
