Frances C. (Daly) Sullivan, 98

Nov 30, 2020

Frances C. (Daly) Sullivan of Dartmouth passed away on Nov. 24, 2020, just six hours shy of her 99th birthday. Born in Middletown, CT, to Richard and Marie (Calamari) Daly, she was married to Robert J. Sullivan for 50 years before his passing in 1996.

“Franny” was a unique individual with many interests, especially antique furniture and any items she considered “top of the line.” She was known for her fashionable sense of style.

Besides her devotion to family, her favorite activity was the day-to-day repartee with people including family members, friends, and even strangers whom she would engage without hesitation.

She will be sorely missed for her wit, warmth, and love for life that had such a profound effect on us all.

Frances is survived by her five children, Suzanne Sullivan, Michael Sullivan and his wife Linda, Kathleen Mandly and her husband Jim, Mary Beth Gamache, and Tricia Bosworth; her grandchildren, Kara Sullivan, Ian and Luke Mandly, Jake, Ben, and Elizabeth “Woody” Gamache, Samuel and Alexandra Bosworth, and Jonathan and Nathan Ferguson; and her great-grandchildren, James Barfield, Daniel Sullivan, Rowan Gamache, and Jackson and Ava Mandly.

She was the sister of the late Richard Daly, Mary Palumbo, and Thomas Daly, and mother-in-law of the late John Gamache.

Her memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Dartmouth. Visiting hours are omitted.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Save the Bells, Inc., c/o New Bedford Credit Union, 1150 Purchase St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
