The Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly has donated $1,000 to the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational High School to support its 14th annual after prom party.

The After Prom is an event that takes place after the prom which provides a healthy, safe and substance-free celebration to all of the graduating seniors and their guests. 

In a statement, the Friends said a donation was the least the organization could do for the school, noting that  “most of the infrastructure at the Dartmouth Council on Aging has been built by the students from this school.”

One recent project was rebuilding the gazebo at the Dartmouth Veterans Memorial Grove in 2021.
