Get outdoors at Stone Barn Farm
Get outdoors with Mass Audubon at several upcoming late fall programs.
On November 9, Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary will host a sunset owl prowl at its Stone Barn Farm property from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
During the event, Mass Audubon staff will lead a discussion and educational program about the owls which call Massachsuetts home. Participants will be able to listen to sound samples of owl calls.
Then, participants will take a one-mile prowl without flashlights in hte hopes of hearing three distinct species of owl which nest in the sanctuary.
The program is limited to 15 adult participants. The cost is $15 for members and $18 for nonmembers. Advance registration is required. Visit massaudubon.org/allenspond or call (508) 636-2437 to register.
On November 10, Mass Audubon’s Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary will host a Fall Leaf Mandalas event at its Stone Barn Farm property.
During the event, participants will be able to create leaf mandalas, which is a therapeutic and symbolic ancient art form. Each participant will create their own seasonal circle using leaves and natural items.
