Girls lacrosse playoff run comes to an end in Elite Eight

Jun 15, 2022

Their historic run has come to an end.

The No. 6-ranked Dartmouth High girls lacrosse team lost 17-6 Tuesday to third-seeded Bedford in the elite eight — the first time in program history the Indians have reached that round.

Despite the loss, head coach Nicole Simas had nothing but praise for how far her girls made it this season.

“Super proud of this team!!!” She said via Twitter. “Thank you seniors.”

The seniors certainly left their mark in their final appearance for the Indians, with three goals from Sorelle Lawton, one from Meredith Sylvia, and one from Ava Crane.

Goalkeeper Molly Rioux had 12 saves.

Dartmouth finishes the 2022 season with an overall record of 19-2-1.
