The Grange to host the Rural Community Fair on Sept. 11 and 12
The two-day Dartmouth Grange Rural Community Fair is schedule for Sept. 11 from 2 to 9 p.m. and Sept. 12 from noon to 9 p.m. The fair will occur at the Grange Hall on 1133 Fisher Road.
The fair includes a number of agricultural exhibits as well as vendors selling flowers, preserves, baked goods and more. There will be demonstrations, carnival games, a penny sale, a country store, food and entertainment.
There are a number of events scheduled throughout the fair. On Friday, there will be a pie-eating contest at 6:30 p.m. and a magic show by Skip Daniels at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust will lead a nature walk in Destruction Brook Woods at 11 a.m. An heirloom tomato contest will begin at 12:30 p.m. Jake Hill & the Fretters will perform at 4 p.m. There will be another pie-eating contest at 5:30 p.m. The winners of the penny sale will be announced at 6 p.m., followed by the fair’s general auction.
