Help protect piping plovers and oystercatchers at Allens Pond from 9 a.m. to noon on March 30. Mass Audubon’s Coastal Waterbird team is looking for help setting up fences to protect nesting sites on the beach from people accidentally stepping on eggs or dogs getting too close. The species can nest as early as mid-April. Bring water, snacks, and your own lunch for a picnic lunch.

Registration is required for this free event online at massaudubon.org or by calling 508-636-2437. The program meets at the field station at 1280 Horseneck Road.
