Henry C. Pimental, 91, of Dartmouth, formerly of Carver, died Saturday, September 14, 2019 at New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home following a period of declining health. He was the widower of Irene (Furtado) Pimental and son of the late Manuel and Maria Conceicao (Pereira) Pimental.
 
Mr. Pimental was born and resided in New Bedford for many years, relocating to Carver in 1997 and to Dartmouth in 2013 where he resided with his daughter, Carol and her husband, Robert.
 
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II attaining the rank of Technician Fifth Grade. His decorations include the World War II Victory Medal and Army Of Occupation Medal Japan. He also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was a member of  American Legion, Post 4, Plymouth.
 
Mr. Pimental was employed as a salesman for Kyanize Paint Co. formerly NuBrite Paint Co. until his retirement in 1992. He was an active and devoted parishioner of the former St. John The Baptist Church in New Bedford where he was president of the Couple's Club and St. Vincent de Paul Society and also served as an Assistant Boy Scout leader. 
 
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife loved entertaining and spending time with their family and friends.
 
His family includes his son, David Pimental and his wife, Betsy of Rochester; his daughters, Carol Trudeau and her husband Robert of Dartmouth and the late Debra Costa; his son-in-law, Joseph Costa of Texas; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Jill, Jeremy, Jayme, Stephanie and their spouses and several great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours in the funeral home Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. His funeral will be conducted on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
